Science Outcomes:
Students will summarize their understandings of interdependence and wetland ecosystems.
Social Studies Outcomes:
Students will demonstrate their appreciation for the wetlands by engaging in conversations with experts and researching advocacy projects
Students will understand the importance of interdependent relationships on quality of life for themselves and and the lives of wetland critters
Students will their concern for sustaining interdependent relationships
Students will develop their own way of "speaking for the critters" through their website design
ELA Outcomes:
Students will use their knowledge and experience to create print and other media texts for the advocacy web page.
Students will use sample texts as models for producing their own print and media texts that will be featured on the web page.
Students will select visual, print, and/or other media to inform and engage an audience in advocating for wetland critters.
Students will contribute ideas to the web page content design.
Students will accept and take responsibility for their own role as a group member during web page creation process.
Fine Arts Outcomes:
Students will use layout and design skills to develop themes, with an emphasis on global awareness, based on plants and animals.
